Only One Target For Jackett....Promotion!

After Swansea's battling 1-1 draw at on-form Chester moved them up to second in the league table, Kenny Jackett challenged his players to obtain to hold off their rivals and achieve promotion. Speaking to the Western Mail, Jackett declared that he would not be happy hanging around in the playoffs this season...and wants to maintain his side's position in the top three for the remainder of the campaign.
"I'm not one of those managers who's happy to be in or
around the top six for most of the season and then make a late surge" commented Jackett after Saturday's result. "I want us stay in the top six for the rest of the season, definitely.... and I want us to stay right at the top".
Jackett's comments will no doubt give confidence to Swansea supporters who are desperate to open their new 20,000 all-seater stadium with higher division football next season. In recent weeks, Jackett's side have attracted praise from the likes of Mike Newell, Tony Adams and even Mark Aizlewood as they continue to push leaders Yeovil all the way. Swans supporters will just be hoping that this is still the case come next May!
