Swansea midfielder Andrea Orlandi has ended speculation about his future by signing a new two-year contract. The 25-year-old had been linked with a number of clubs over the summer, including a reunion with former Swans boss Paulo Sousa at Leicester, after his contract expired at the end of June. But following positive talks with new manager Brendan Rodgers, Orlandi trained with the squad on Thursday and put pen to paper on Friday night. "I'm glad it's finally over," Orlandi told the club's official website. "There were a lot of things to focus on with Paulo going and the new manager coming in. "The chairman was keen for me to speak to the manager before anything was agreed. It was something I wanted to do as well because we may not have suited each other. "But I was lucky that he wants to play the game the same way - the Swansea way. It's a style that I think suits me - the mentality and the passing game. I was very impressed with what he had to say and I can't wait to improve my fitness and start the new season properly."
