Four of the Swans players who are sure to feature tonight are former Espanyol players. Guillem Bauza, Albert Serran and Federico Bessone all played for Espanyol's B side, while Jordi Gomez is currently on loan at Swansea City from Espanyol's first team. Though the game is on live tonight on Catalan TV, it will not be shown in Wales, despite rumours in the last few weeks that the game would be shown live on S4C.
There has been a great deal of interest from the Spanish media about the game, and Roberto Martinez has been busy fending of Spanish reporters. Martinez said "People out here want to know about 'that other Spanish side'. They see Liverpool as the Spanish side in the Premier League and Swansea City as the Spanish side in the Championship.
''That's good news for us, and being on the TV tonight is good news because it is only going to increase our profile here.''
Espanyol's coach Tintin Marquez may include Spanish internationals Raul Tamudo and Ivan De la Pena, as well as Argentine stars Pablo Zabaleta and Ramon Martinez. Spurs target, Luis Garcia, however, is unlikely to feature as he is struggling with injury.
There will be regular match updates tonight on Swansea City Mad.
