Swansea full-back Sam Ricketts earnt his fourth International cap for Wales on Wednesday night, after an assured performance at the White Rock against Slovenia. Ricketts looked to have regained the composure that he has recently been lacking at League One level due to lack of match practice and played for 85 minutes at left back, before switching to the right before the final whistle.
Just over 10,000 supporters arrived in a poor turn-out, that stifled the atmosphere and left the players forced to play in front of a half-empty venue. However, it was a night to remember for Ricketts, who saw much of the ball against the Slovenians and has definitely kept himself in contention of a place in the starting line-up against England next month.
