Swansea midfielder Andy Robinson has claimed that he is desperate to improve his disciplinary record in League One next season, after a less than impressive 2004/05 that saw him pick up 9 yellow cards and 2 reds. His sending off late in the season against Bristol Rovers and failure to leave the field, meant that he not only missed the last two games of last year, but is also suspended for the first five matches next season.
"I don't want to get sent off", Robbo told the Western Mail, "... don't want to get yellow cards. I've got to cut all that out. Last season was a learning curve for me. I learned a lot about my discipline and those problems are behind me now. I've learned from my mistakes and I'm going to let my feet do the talking next season".
"I've got to clean up the niggly side of my game. I've got to learn to walk away when players try and wind me up," said Birkenhead-born Robinson. I ended up being suspended for the last league game at the Vetch and that was really painful for me. "I played most of the season and was involved in almost everything, on and off the pitch, then I missed one of the biggest games in the club's history".
