Swansea clinched their place in the end-of-season promotion decider with a comfortable 4-1 victory over Ipswich.
Rodgers' side, up to fourth following other results, cannot now be caught by those outside the top six, but the second automatic spot is all but beyond them with just two matches remaining.
"It took us a bit of time to get going but after that I thought we were magnificent - it was a brilliant performance," said Rodgers.
"We knew it was going to be difficult for us, but I thought we were top class in both attack and defence. We stuck to our tactics, which have been the same all season - pass the ball, have patience and press.
"For the majority of the season that's what we have done and our passing and possession were outstanding."
