The 22-year-old winger has been a revelation since arriving from Chelsea last summer, scoring a total of 23 goals in what is really his first full season.
He has been a consistent performer in Swans` promotion bid and England Under-21`s preparations for the forthcoming European Championship and, with the play-offs now to look forward to, Rodgers wants to ensure he gets the best out of his star man.
Rodgers started a jaded Sinclair on the bench in Monday`s 4-1 rout of Ipswich and told the club`s official website: "I looked at him even when he came on and thought he looked tired.
"I have known Scotty a long time and this is his first full season playing games. And it`s my job now to manage that tiredness, as I have to do with Joe Allen."
Rodgers added: "He (Sinclair) has worked up and down the line for his team-mates and he has sweat blood for the club so of course, naturally, he is going to feel a wee bit of tiredness. If I can give him a little rest I will, he has been fantastic for us this season."
