The Hoops, managed by Neil Warnock, are five points clear of second-placed Norwich with one game to go and are scheduled to receive the npower Championship trophy following Saturday's clash with Leeds at Loftus Road, while the Swans look set to finish 4th.
However, on Friday the Football Association are expected to deliver a verdict on seven charges against the club regarding the 2009 transfer of Alejandro Faurlin and it is rumoured they could be docked upto a massive 15 points - which could see them drop into the play-offs or even out of the promotion picture and into seventh place.
"We could be in a situation where QPR are docked points and they end up in the play-offs," Rodgers told Wales Online.
"For example, we could end up third and they'd be sixth and we could be playing the champions in a play-off game.
"That's seems unfair and I guess sometimes things aren't fair. But it's certainly not right that it's been left this long."
