Wayne Rooney has admitted that he knows precious little about Swansea's International full-back Sam Ricketts ahead of this weekend's big World Cup Qualifying fixture. Wales are set to host England in front of a capacity crowd of over 70,000 at the Millenium Stadium, with Sam Ricketts in with a fantastic chance of playing in what can easily be described as the biggest game of his life to date.
"Obviously I haven't seen much of those players", Rooney told the Western Mail when asked about Ricketts and ex-Swan Richard Duffy, "But I think it'll be a tough game whoever Wales put out. Tougher, I think, than the one we had at Old Trafford last year. This time Wales will have the home crowd right behind them. That's going to make a big difference".
With first-choice left back Ben Thatcher suspended, Ricketts could be in with an opportunity to start his fourth consecutive Internatioanl for Wales. Should he get the likely call-up, Ricketts will no doubt relish the chance to pit his wits against the likes of David Beckham, Frank Lampard and Rooney himself.
