Swansea's ticket office have announced that all tickets for their last home league fixture of the season have been sold out. The match against Shrewsbury Town will prove to be Swansea's league match at the Vetch Field, although it will host the FAW Premier Cup final and possibly a playoffs fixture before it is finally closed for good.
Swansea sold all remaining tickets for the match in just two hours on Monday morning, with the majority of places being sold earlier in the season under a linked-ticket scheme. The queue began to form at 5am on Monday morning, with numerous fans opting to sleep in their cars outside the shop, so as not to miss out on the Vetch Field's final goodbye.
Unfortunately, a large number of fans were still left in the queue when the club-shop announced the sell-out just short of 11am, leaving many unable to attend the final home game of the season. The club are now predicting a sell-out in Swansea's only other home fixture against Oxford United at the end of April and have also requested larger away allocations for the matches against Bristol Rovers and Bury.
