Southend End Keeper Nightmare

Southend have ended speculation that comedian Terry Alderton was set to start against Swansea at the weekend - by signing Bristol Rovers' Ryan Clarke on a one month loan. Shrimpers' manager Steve Tilson confirmed the deal this afternoon, meaning that his side will not have to rely on the questionable talent of Alderton.

Many will not be suprised by this latest news, after Terry Alderton himself stated that the whole scenario was just a publicity stunt. New signing Clarke will go straight into the starting line-up for Saturday's visit of Swansea.
