Despite accusations made about the conduct of Swansea's players after the final whistle in Lincolnshire on Saturday, it appears that it is Boston manager Steve Evans that could find himself in the biggest trouble with the Football Association. It is thought that the FA will not be taking any action against Swansea for the alleged attack on the Boston dressing room door, whilst Evans' comments will have landed him in serious trouble.
A number of contraversial incidents have been included in the referee's match report, including Boston fans spitting at the linesman, a Swansea player making an obscene gesture to the home fans and the Boston dressing room door incident - not to mention Evans' post-match comments and damage caused by home fans to the Swansea team bus.
Evans apparently made derogatory remarks about South Walians, including heated outbursts against Kenny Jackett, Lee Trundle and the referee. Boston have also confirmed that they have written a letter of complaint to the FA about the conduct of the referee, claiming that some of his conversations with the Swansea management team were unsuitable and the governing body's response is expected within the next few days.
