Swansea have completed the signings of Kevin McLeod and Marcus Bean from QPR as Kenny Jackett attempts to bolster his squad for the final promotion push. Both clubs confirmed the transfer of McLeod for an undisclosed fee, after the winger agreed terms yesterday, while Marcus Bean is expected to complete a three month loan deal by Thursday morning.
McLeod had been linked with both Bristol City and Chester, after making just four starts all season - with his last appearance as a substitute against Stoke over a month ago. Marcus Bean has made over 20 starts this season and QPR manager Ian Holloway believes the midfielder to have an important future at Loftus Road. Both players were instrumental in QPR's promotion success last season.
Jackett clearly believes that the two new players have the quality to help push Swansea over the promotion finishing line, although there are reports that he is still chasing one further player on a short-term loan deal. Both will go straight into the starting line-up against Grimsby on Saturday.
