The Premier League newcomers had previously agreed a £1.75million fee and sealed personal terms on a three-year contract with the player, who becomes manager Brendan Rodgers' fourth signing of the summer.
A statement on the Swansea website read: "Swansea City are pleased to confirm they have completed the signing of striker Leroy Lita after he passed a medical today (Wednesday)."
And Swansea fans may get the chance to see the former Reading forward in action during Wednesday's friendly against Celtic at the Liberty Stadium.
