Lee Trundle's injury woes continue as he is ruled out of Saturday's friendly at Worcester. The striker has some minor ligament damage and will not participate in Swansea's first fixture of pre-season.
During the 03/04 season, Trundle was side-lined for almost three and a half months with a number of different injuries, with Brian Flynn being blamed for his poor training schedules. However, Trundle has played down any fears of a long-term layoff by stating that he has merely suffered a routine training ground injury and will probably feature in next Tuesday's friendly clash at Barry Town.
Trundle joins defender Izzy Iriekpen on the Swans injury list after the ex-West Ham defender broke down just hours into pre-season. Iriekpen has since been informed that he will have to undergo surgery on a bony growth in his ankle that is likely to force him out of action for at least six weeks.
