Kenny Jackett is rumoured to have offered ex-Bristol City defender Callum Hart the chance to join Swansea on trial when the club returns for pre-season training in ten days time. Hart, who can also play as a defensive midfielder, was released by Bristol City boss Brian Tinnion last month after failing to make any real impact at Ashton Gate.
The defender promised much after coming up through the club's youth setup, much like English Under-21 International Leoy Lita. However, Hart was confined to the Bristol City reserves last season, making 22 appearances and scoring one goal.
Should Hart accept the trial, he will be joined by Aussie duo Matthew Gordon and Ian Ramsey, ex-Leeds defender Stuart Edwards and forgotten Vetch Field hero James Thomas, who returns to the club on a trial basis in an attempt to prove his ability to Kenny Jackett.
