London media are reporting that QPR have received and accepted a formal bid for left winger Kevin McLeod. The offer is reportedly a structured deal worth up to £100k, with Kenny Jackett dipping into his FA Cup funds to bolster his promotion-challenging squad.
After an initial period on loan at QPR in 2003, McLeod joined Rangers that summer on a permanent basis and was a major influence in the side that won promotion from League One last season. McLeod possesses impressive pace and the ability to beat defenders - apparently the qualities that Jackett believes are lacking in his injury-hit squad.
McLeod would be a welcome addition to the Swansea line-up, providing the natural width and pace that the side has been missing since the loss of loanee Marc Goodfellow after Christmas. After Swansea's disappointing 3-1 defeat at Leyton Orient at the weekend, Jackett is clearly keen on cementing promotion for his side, who have failed to win in the last three.
