Finally promoted to the top Dutch division in 2003, The Hague's main side suprisingly retained their top flight status last season, finishing fourth from bottom. The 03/04 season saw some impressive results, including a 2-2 draw with Feyenoord and victories over Herenveen and Roda JC. Roy Stroede finished as Den Haag's top scorer, with a "massive" return of seven, but just to remain in the Eredivisie is a massive achievement.
Den Haag should therefore provide Jackett's squad with a very tough fixture and any positive result from tonight's friendly would be encouraging. Den Haag are used to playing against the likes of Ajax and PSV, so Kenny Jackett will probably field a very strong side for most of the 90 minutes.
Those definitely out are Izzy Iriekpen and Leon Hylton, while Lee Trundle has still not recovered from the knee injury that has threatened to spoil his start to the season. Andy Robinson, Kristian O'Leary and Stuart Jones are all big doubts after picking up minor injuries in Swansea's domestic friendlies.
