The Vetch Field was crammed on Tuesday as a large Christmas crowd watched Swansea defeat Boston 3-1 and maintain their 100% record over the festive period. However, Huw Jenkins has pleaded with supporters to arrive extremely early for Saturday's visit of Yeovil, as the club are expecting an even higher attendance as two of the league's high-flyers come head-to-head.
The festive period has been one of cheer and great promise for all at Swansea. Not only have they won all three of their Christmas fixtures comfortably, scoring twelve goals in the process, but registered the highest attendance in League Two of the season so far by hitting the 10,000 mark against Boston on Tuesday. Coupled with their position in League Two and the announcement by the club that all the seats have been fitted inside the stadium and that work is now underway in the executive areas and offices of Swansea's new stadium - 2005 looks very promising for Swansea City indeed.
Should results go their way, victory for Swansea on New Years Day could see them move ten points clear of fourth place and give them a huge margin of error for 2005. With a poor November and early December well and truly behind them, Kenny Jackett will be looking to put yet more distance between his side and the chasing pack.
