Last updated : 13 January 2005 By Richard Evans
In an official recent report conducted by the Football League, Swansea City have once again caused concern by spending the most on player's agents fees. The Swans paid out over £37k between July and December 2004 to agents - the highest amount spent by any League Two club.

This is the second report by the Football League on agents' fees, as it attempts to highlight the amount of money leaving the beautiful game through third parties. The current report found that over £5 million was paid to agents in total throughout all the leagues, an increase of over 300% on the figures from the previous six months. However, this is to be expected as the latest report covers a large portion of the summer period, when the majority of football transfers occur.

In the previous report, only five League Two clubs paid any agents' fees, with Swansea topping the table with a figure of £17.5k. The latest report sees fees paid by fifteen League Two clubs, with Swansea once again heading the table with £37k - double their previous amount.
