Swansea have decided to turn their longest away trip into their shortest, by opting to fly to Hartlepool on Friday afternoon, ahead of tomorrow's League One match. The in-form Swans will be hoping that the added freshness may help Jackett's men earn yet another three points as they attempt to hold onto the League One top spot.
"We're going a bit big time flying up", Lee Trundle joked to the Western Mail, "...but we're all adults and we're going there to do a job. It shows that everyone wants to do something and that we're all pushing in the right direction".
"The idea is to cut down on a six- or seven-hour trip", Jackett explained, "...and see if it can have an effect on what we do. It's a one-off because this is our furthest away trip and only the 16 in the squad are flying, so we have cut it right down to the essentials".
However, the club have only booked one-way tickets and the squad will be forced to sit-out a 7-hour return drive in the back of a coach.
