Swansea City1 v 1

A Lee Trundle penalty on 64 minutes rescued a point for the Swans at the Liberty Stadium tonight after Yeovil had taken the lead on 53 minutes with a goal on his debut from Marcus Stewart.

The Swans started the first half brightly and Yeovil keeper Mildenhall made a fine save from a typical Andy Robinson free-kick. Apart from a couple of other chances which fell to the ineffective Rory Fallon, there was little else to talk of in the half, which ended with Yeovil looking much the better side. The Swans wasted what possession they had and passes repeatedly went astray.

Bayo replaced Fallon at the start of the second half yet the Swans still kept playing their ineffective long ball game. Former Yeovil favourite Darren Way replaced Tom Williams on 58 minutes, slotting into the centre midfield position with Robinson switching to the left wing. The Swans started to play more of a passing game, and shortly after Yeovil's goal Robinson hit the bar with a left foot drive.

The Swans looked the better side after Trundle's penalty and looked more likely to get the winning goal. It was not to be, however, and Yeovil held out for a well deserved point.
