Swansea defender Andy Gurney could be a Swindon player by next week, after Chairman Huw Jenkins confirmed that talks with the club are ongoing. Gurney has fallen out-of-favour with Kenny Jackett and was transfer listed in May following an alleged bust-up in the dressing room.
Now it would seem that Gurney has definitely played his last game for the club, especially considering he could not even make the bench for a depleted Swansea side at Reading on Tuesday night. However, Gurney is believed to be one of the highest earners at the White Rock and by allowing him to leave, Jackett will be able to free-up some much-needed funds for new targets.
"We are talking to Swindon about a couple of things about Andy Gurney and we hope to know soon", Jenkins told the Evening Post.
