Swansea have managed to register new striker Lee Thorpe in time to face Mansfield tonight. Kenny Jackett was eager to have Thorpe available for tonight's clash and agreed with Rovers to initially register Thorpe as a loan signing in order to allow him to participate tonight.
However, it is understood that Thorpe has signed an 18-month contract that will keep him in South Wales until the summer of 2006 and the current loan deal has only been put through to ensure his participation tonight.
Thorpe will be added straight to the bench at Manfield tonight, giving Jackett extra cover for his two on-form strikers. Willy Gueret and Andy Gurney face late fitness tests while Sam Ricketts is away on international duty with Wales.
