Trundle Agrees Two Year Extension

Swansea's star striker Lee Trundle has extended his contract until the summer of 2007. Trundle's current deal was set to expire this coming summer but Chairman Huw Jenkins moved quickly to keep the club's biggest asset under contract - meaning that he could not be snapped up for free in June.

Trundle was originally signed on a one year deal by Brian Flynn in the summer of 2003 but was quickly offered a 12 month extension. Since then the ex-Wrexham striker has averaged a goal ever other game for Swansea and has gained a huge cult following due to his repeated exposure on Sky's Soccer AM.

With constant speculation regarding his future, Swansea supporters are bound to be delighted with this latest news, meaning that Trundle is likely to be entertaining fans at their brand new 20,000 all-seater stadium for at least a few more years.
