Swansea could be facing the prospect of starting the new season without star striker Lee Trundle, as a host of higher-league clubs prepare bids for him. Trundle notched 22 league goals in last season's promotion campaign from League Two, yet could begin next season in the Championship if media sources are to be believed.
Leicester, Southampton and Hull are apparently making enquiries into the tricky forward's availability, with the Tigers being the closest to preparing an offer. Although there is no official word as of yet from the club itself, Swansea fans will be hoping that this news proves to be nothing more than yet another rumour.
However, Trundle admitted his potential interest in a move to the North-East, stating, "Hull is a massive club and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't flattered to have my name linked with them. Peter Taylor is a great manager and they're obviously a club going places. They are similar to Swansea in that they've been in the doldrums for so many years, but have now started to come good. At the moment I've heard nothing, but will just have to wait and see what happens."
Whether or not a bid actually materialises from the Tigers is another matter, with the club already owning six senior strikers, with Dagenham and Redbridge's Chris Moore set to complete a deal on Friday.
