Speaking to the BBC, Executive Producer Roger Lawrence confirmed Trundle's involvement and announced his excitement at the production. "It's his first stage performance and he is really looking forward to it. Footballers like to get involved in other things outside of football such as fashion and it's great Lee wants to do a bit of acting. It's set in the make-up department of a department store and Lee is there as a footballer who is part of a fashion show. He is very much playing himself".
Trundle has been a regular on Sky's Soccer AM over the past two years, yet will have to rely on a different set of skills to win local acclaim on the stage.
