Swansea winger Cedric van der Gun plans to hold talks with manager Brendan Rodgers after revealing he could potentially leave the club on a free transfer this summer. The 31-year-old recently signed a one-year contract extension, in which he claims to have agreed terms stating that should a new manager come in then he is able to leave should he wish to do so. Paulo Sousa`s departure has triggered that option although van der Gun stresses he is keen to remain at the Liberty Stadium. "I really don't know what will happen this season," he told the Western Mail. "Pre-season has just started, there is a new manager and my whole situation is complicated. "I do have a contract, but I can leave on a free transfer if I want. So you never know what is going to happen, especially with a new manager. I signed another year. But, if another club comes in for me, then I can go. "The manager that signed me has gone. We have a new manager so I just want to play my best and I hope that he likes me. Then we will have a talk and I can know what's going on for next season. I have to wait and see what will happen. "You have to ask the chairman his stance. But we agreed that, if a new manager came in, I could leave on a free if things didn't work out. I know it's not a normal situation. I'm just saying where I stand. The main difference for me is that normally, when a player has a contract, they can't leave. I can go on a free transfer."
