Swansea director David Morgan has thanked fans for their support over the season and singled out the atmosphere at the two Easter weekend matches as being particularly crucial to the side's upturn in form. Kenny Jackett's side finally put a horrendous run of form behind them with back-to-back victories over Macclesfield and Cheltenham and Morgan believes that the supporters can help carry Swansea over the automatic promotion finishing line.
Speaking to the Evening Post, Morgan commented ''The atmosphere the fans generated at home against Macclesfield and then at Cheltenham was electric". ''Opposition directors are always commenting about the quality and size of our support and we realise how lucky we are".
The club are expecting another massive attendance against Cambridge at the Vetch on Saturday and are considering making their next home match against Oxford all-ticket, due to recent high demand. Meanwhile, after taking 1500 fans to Cheltenham on Easter Monday, the club have requested extra tickets for the away fixture at Bristol Rovers, claiming that the 1250 will not sufficiently meet the extremely high demand from supporters.
