Yeovil have rejected Swansea's bid for Lee Johnson, claiming that it did not reach their valuation for the player. The news was revealed at the Supporters Trust meeting on Thursday evening, although the management team have not decided whether or not to submit an increased bid.
Swansea's offer was believed to be a six-figure fee and both Chairman Huw Jenkins and Kenny Jackett were extremely disappointed by Yeovil's decision to turn it down. With just five days remaining until the transfer deadline, it would appear that yet another of Swansea's major transfer targets has slipped away.
Meanwhile, the club are still in negotiations with West Ham over a move for ex-Yeovil midfielder Gavin Williams. The Welsh International has admitted that a move to South Wales would interest him, but the stumbling block remains Alan Pardew.
