Kenny Jackett has responded to Swansea's crippling injury situation by bringing three youth team players over to join the squad in Holland. With almost half of the squad injuured or doubtful for this weekend's two fixtures, Jackett was forced to bring in more players or face the prospect of canceling a friendly.
However, there was better news on the injury front this morning. Garry Monk, Brad Maylett and Gary Fisken have all apparently shaken off minor knocks and are likely to feature in the friendlies in some way.
Swansea play FC Noordwijk and Haarlem on Saturday and Sunday respectively, before flying home for one last week of preparation for the new season. Jackett will just be hoping that the small squad that he currrently has available is not depleted even further.
