Brian Flynn hailed his side's 2-0 victory as they earned a much needed three points with a well deserved victory against Lincoln City at the Vetch Field.
"It was a crucial three points and a much-needed win. This was crunch game for us and with results going the way they did it keeps us in touch with the teams around us.
"Had we lost then we would have left ourselves with a lot to do but we did ourselves a favour.
"Now the important thing is to take it on from here, we need to start winning games back to back. We've not done that since I arrived here and it's crucial to start doing that if we are to climb to safety.
"It was a good performance from the players and I thought we deserved the win." It was Swansea's their first victory since November 20 when they beat Shrewsbury Town 2-0 and the Swans fans' can be thankful to an ex-Cardiff City partnership for their victory at the weekend.
Kevin Nugent and John Williams grabbed the goals to ease the pressure on under-fire former Wrexham manager Brian Flynn.
The Imps did have the ball in the net when Ben Futcher bundled in Stuart Bimson's corner, but referee David Crick adjudged that Lincoln's top scorer had fouled Roger Freestone in the process.
Swansea took the lead just before the break after Kevin Nugent headed home Leon Britton's cross to score his first goal for the club since arriving from Leyton Orient.
After the break Lincoln should have been level, but Dene Cropper struck straight at Freestone with the goal at his mercy.
After 65 minutes the Swans eased the nerves of their supporters by making it 2-0. John Williams reacted first to a scramble in the box following Andy Mumford's superb curling corner.
And the former postman smashed the ball into the roof of the net for 2-0 to secure all three points for Flynn's side.
After the game Flynn paid tribute to his new strike force of Williams and Nugent, saying: "Both of them did well.
"You can tell they've played together before and that showed out there. Kevin's goal was well taken. He rose well at the far post and made sure he got it on target.
"John's goal was also well taken and it was just what he needed after not scoring for so many games."
