Goals from Rory Fallon on 24 minutes and Leon Knight on 53 minutes gave the Swans all three points against Crewe at the Liberty Stadium tonight in front of the lowest league gate of the season - 10,031. Crewe's solitary goal came from a penalty from Roberts on 32 minutes.
Swans made several changes from last Saturday's defeat against Huddersfield. Willie Gueret was replaced by Andy Oakes, Williams replaced Austin and Fallon came in for Bayo.
This was an excellent all round performance from the whole team with Tom Williams and Leon Britton, in particular, in fine form. Fallon and Knight combined well all evening, with Knight laying on the pass for Fallon to score superbly with a right-foot shot which flew into the top left of the Crewe goal. Fallon then headed across goal to Knight to fire in the second Swans goal. Darren Way also hit the bar for the Swans.
One further piece of good news tonight was the appearance of Owain Tudur-Jones on the Swans bench after a long battle with injury. Welcome back Owain.
For those who stayed away tonight. You missed the best home performance of the season by a mile.
