A two goal strike by Lee Trundle and one from Paul Connor gave the Swans an easy victory over Chester.
After a poor opening Trundle scored in the 41st minute when he curled home a free-kick from just outside the area. Connor made it two when he netted from close range soon after the restart and magic man Trundle fielded a super performance with the third on the hour.
It was Trundle who had the first opportunity on goal after he burst through the middle and shrugged off David Bayliss but his weak shot went straight at Chester keeper Chris MacKenzie.
Chester had started much brighter than the Swans but with Michael Branch up front on his own they were unable to trouble Willy Gueret in the home goal.
Adrian Forbes raised home hopes with a header from an Andy Robinson cross in the 35th minute that Bayliss headed behind for the fruitless corner. Five minutes into the second half the Swans made the game safe with another goal.
The Swans took the lead just before the interval after Trundle had been brought down by the hard working Bayliss, and he curled the free kick around the ball and into the net with Mackenzie rooted to the spot.
Robinson made space down the left before firing a low shot into the danger zone and Connor had the simple task of prodding into an empty net.
There was a lengthy break when Chester's Michael Brown received treatment after going down in his own penalty area. It took fully five minutes before the unfortunate Brown was stretchered off.
Trundell scored a magnificent goal on the hour when he curled a shot wide of MacKenzie and inside the far post for his 17th strike of the season.
Leon Britton collected a loose ball in midfield and feed Trundell who was 20 yards out and his left footer completely deceived the visitors keeper.
It was one way traffic and Trundell, Robinson and Connor all had chances to add to the score.
