A brace from York City top scorer Peter Duffield gave the Minstermen a victory in their re-arranged FA Cup first round tie against Swansea City.
Duffield's goals came on 21 and 88 minutes, with Matt Murphy scoring for the visitors ten minutes from time. York now face second division Brentford at Bootham Crescent in the next round.
York started slowly and the Welsh side's top scorer James Thomas gave the home defence an early scare when he turned and fired narrowly wide from 20 yards on eight minutes.
York went ahead on 21 minutes. Darren Edmondson's low right-wing cross was fired home from 15 yards by Duffield for his 10th goal of the season.
Swansea, still to record victory on their travels this season, appeared to lose confidence after falling behind and Jon Parkin had two good chances to increase York's lead before the break.
From the re-start, Parkin sidefooted Graham Potter's corner tamely into the grateful arms of keeper Roger Freestone. The Swansea keeper was in the action again saving well with his legs from Duffield who should have scored.
Lee Nogan and Duffield combined to set up Parkin, whose exquisite lob from 25 yards beat Freestone, but hit the bar and bounced to safety.
Swansea stuck to their task and scored a deserved equalizer after minutes, when Murphy rose the near post to head home Andy Mumford's left-wing corner.
As the tie seemed to be heading for a replay in Wales, Potter's left-wing cross was headed firmly home by Duffield for his11th goal the season
